Industrial designers have always been pioneers in innovation and design and development of industrial products and the production advances in industrialized countries to a considerable extent is due to their presence in the manufacturing sector. Every year numerous competitions are held around the world to explore new ideas and young designers and to introduce them to the industry. The result is creation of hundreds of thousands of design ideas to improve products in companies that eventually leads to improvement of the living standards for consumers.

The Competition
The IDIRAN competition is for the first time being held in 12 groups nationwide.
The competition categories include:

• Office Supplies
• Means of transportation
• Urban Design
• Furnishings, furniture and decoration
• Lighting
• Safety and Security
• Health
• Sports, education and entertainment
• Packaging
• Fashion
• Communications and interactive systems

Prizes
30 Million IR Rials cash prize is considered for every IDIRAN Golden Award winner. 30 Million IR Rials for the winners of IDIRAN Silver Award. And bronze winners will be paid the sum of 10 Million IR Rials. This amount, along with the package, which includes the IDIRAN Year Book, IDIRAN trophy and certificate will be presented to the winners in the ceremony day.
IDIRAN competition stages

Early-bird submission
From April 4th till May 5th.If a project is submitted in the early-bird period is possible to take advantage of the initial evaluation by jury.

Normal submission
From May 6th to June 6th. Participants will have the opportunity to put their works to the initial assessment.
The initial assessment
The initial assessment will have the following benefits:
First, you can lower the cost of assessment by not having to pay the presentation fee, which is charged only in the final stage.
Second, you can send more works to be assessed for the competition. In the initial evaluation, taking into consideration the priorities of the competition the jury evaluates your ideas through the Internet.
Preparation for the final evaluation
After the initial evaluation, if elected, participants will be informed of their reach to the final stage. At this stage, you can add video, prototype or a replica of the entry.

Late submission
From June 7th to July 8th. Entries submitted at this time are sent directly to the final assessment. Therefore, submission fees at this stage includes the final presentation fee. In addition, at this stage you can present a video or prototype of the entry. The final opportunity for submission would be July 8th.
Final Evaluation
In the final evaluation, a jury consisted of various Iranian design university professors and related industries will gather together and discuss the entries for two days. Finally the winners will be introduced.

Announcement of the results
In case of winning an award, a congratulatory e-mail will be sent to you. To maintain your rights to protect your idea, details about your winning concept will not be leaked to the media until the festival in October. Moreover, your right is reserved to avoid disclosure of your entries details even after the public announcement. Alongside of receiving the congratulatory e-mail, the next steps, including the completion of online forms for the winners, will be instructed.

Ceremony Day
The Ceremony will be held at October 10th.An exhibition of winning works will be opened, the exhibition will also be available virtually through the website. Also the IDIRAN Year Book will be presented in the ceremony. The IDIRAN Awards team will cooperate with numerous publications and media companies inside and outside the country to introduce the winners.
